It’s the end of week 5 of the One Room Challenge and it was a good one! After painting the door pink last week I knew I needed to stencil the porch. Originally, I wanted to use a flower stencil but after seeing my friend use this stencil from Cutting Edge Stencils I knew I had to use the same one.

Stenciling is no joke! I wouldn’t say it was hard, just requires a lot of patience. I’ll do a post of stenciling and share some tips. Just make sure you have lots of time, a good playlist, and lots of water. Overall this took me a week of working most nap times and evenings.

I also hired a gardener to help me remove some bushes we are replacing. Earlier in the challenge I removed one bush and it took me almost an hour. Enrique came and along with one other man removed the remaining 11 bushes in less than an hour. It was worth every penny to hire it out and have them hauled away. We have decided to wait to replant until we can speak with a landscaper to make sure we find the right plants for the space.

And lastly, our new chairs and table were delivered! If you remember from my last post, I decided not to use the chairs I ordered the first time but I found the perfect set from Target. They were so easy to put together and fit the space so well. I can’t wait to sit out here sipping a drink watching my girl and pup play!

That’s all for this week! Make sure you head over to the One Room Challenge website to check out the other projects!
