Colorful Kid’s Birthday & Tips

I can’t believe my baby is almost 4, time is so fast and slow at the same time! Emmy’s third birthday was spent in quarantine so we celebrated at home with our little nuclear family. It was such a wonderful, relaxing day. And now I think I want to do this every year!

We started the day by waking up Emmy with a new birthday dress and then she got to run outside to see a play car and playhouse for her birthday. This is the playhouse we got her from Target. Next, it was breakfast time! We had mini powdered donuts, strawberries, and green eggs and ham. She was not a fan of the funny colored eggs.

We took her on an adventure at the river and got her favorite: McDonald’s. Followed by a movie and her nap! Once she woke up, we decorated her cake and had dinner. For her cake, we kept it simple with purple frosting, rainbow candles, and sprinkles. We spent the rest of the day playing, talking to family, checking out her gifts, and loving on our girl. It was the best day!

Birthday Tips:

  • Celebrate all day!
  • Get something special for the birthday kid to wear
  • Incorporate their favorite things i.e. green eggs and ham and a giant ballon
  • Make a tradition, our is the birthday banner than goes out for everyone’s birthday
  • Make the little things special
  • Do what THEY want
